November 6, 2012 Bastrop Shares Her Bounty at Hobie Fishing Worlds

From Austin Texas... Patterns pay off as anglers pulled their limits from Lake Bastrop. Greeted by an overnight cool spell and temperatures in the upper 40's, it wasn't long before action began to heat up. Florida's Marty Mood bested the 43-°©‐angler field with a three fish total of 56.50 inches, a four pound average with a kicker weighing nearly five pounds. Mood's day on the water was productive, but not without its share of frustration as Mood lost his largest fish early on.

No Motor No Boundaries: Kayak Fishing Takes World Stage

The stage is set for the 2012 Hobie® Fishing World Championship, presented by Daiwa® , as 42 anglers from 13 countries descend on Lake Bastrop, Austin, Texas. Tuesday, November 6 is the first day of competition and the first step to the title of World Champion. Each angler will compete from identically rigged Hobie Pro Angler 12's equipped with Lowrance® Electronics mounted by RAM® Mounting Systems.
